2017

  1. Consolidate it formally and identify alliances in digital networks as a non-governmental organization: incubator project.

Carry out projects previously planned as part of the organization’s activities: for a social education workshop, planning activities such as debates, focus groups, networking and strategies for the integration of migrants without “inclusion without discrimination” are not used.

 

  1. Self-financing platform and website:

We interact with Latina migrants’ women that could be in isolation.  We analyze their skills, framework, and lack of knowledge of an official language. Problems related to health, inclusion, education, and violence: psychological, economic or physic. We seek information linked with other women with the same experiences and incentive to have social contact. The issue of integration of Spanish-speaking migrants can be improved through digital information media that can be helpful and free to everyone.

  1. Construction of bridges between Latin American to Belgium projects.

The migrant and emigrant’s information portal are mainly directed to women, youth, and migrants, who are looking for information about the rights and real opportunities in Belgium. Most of them are looking for jobs, information about health services, social communities, and education. All this information is going to be shared without having a political affiliation or religiosity alienation and in Spanish.

  1. Focus groups: weaving-nest

Strategies

The strategies of SIEMPRE are the interaction with other NGOs, in synergy with the migrant communities and their empowerment for social integration, in addition to fomenting entrepreneurship. One more indispensable aspect is the language, so SIEMPRE will be in Spanish.

3. Financing – Co-working

SIEMPRE is a non-profit organization. We seek private and public support funds, crowdfunding, to produce our activities, analyze information. We focus on issues that could be useful for the Latin American diasporas living in Europe,  directly and indirectly to other Spanish speakers in Belgium.

4. Debates

Conversation and talks about contemporary topics, we provoke the dialogue and the interaction between the different actors of the society to talk to be included. In the base of the most relevant issues inside the Latin-American community from there, we invite and encourage to look inside and focus to be part of activities such as citizens and being agents of change. We have networked with specialist, politics, artiste, scientist, and activist to be part of this project and make visible Latin women, such as migrants, mothers, academic, workers, to visibility those problems and together look for eventually solutions.

2018

  1. Focus Group, Debates about Violence and Istanbul Convention.

We organized debates to talked about different topics, listen to testimonies, focus groups, women looking for solutions at their problems and during these years, we invite other participants from Argentina, Mexico, and Belgium to talked about feminicides (a term not legally recognized in Belgium and there were 3 of Latin Women), analyzing with specialists over rights and the invisibility and vulnerability of migrant women.

  1. International Networking

Part of being in Europe and most in Belgium is the positive relationship between organizations: European Networking Against Racism and Discrimination and Federatie van Sociaal-Culturele vereningingen van mensen met een migratieachtergrond that give us the opportunity to be part of their member board.

We have created alliances to build programs and activities to be in contact with women of the Latin American diasporas not only in Europe but also outside.

  1. Cultural Activities.

We have proposed activities such as talks with women in politics, women from different feminist organizations, Latina Women Writers and independent groups trained by Latin and Caribbean Women such as: Collectif Femmes Survivantes in Belgium and Afroféminas in Spain.

Help migrants to understand the functioning of the social institutions that offer first welcome services. With the intersectional vision of the institutions and organizations who work with Migrants and Women. At the moment we have explored and analyzed: organizations who work with refugees, with women and children displaced from their homes, victims of violence, feminist organizations, gender equalities organizations, health and reproduction, discrimination and equity most of them localized in Brussels.

4. Participation

We presented papers at the Congress Migrants and Mental Health organized in Brussels, Colloquium Local communities and Indigenous research at ULB, Hands on Harassment Have #MeToo Redefined the status quo? At European Parliament Commission.
